Road Closures 1 - 2 September 2018


Nelson Mandela Bay is about to receive thousands of athletes and visitors from around the world, all coming to be part of history as the City hosts the first ever Ironman 70.3 world championship on African soil. With this comes a number of necessary conditions such as compulsory road closures at certain periods of time during the weekend. These road restrictions are there for the safety of athletes and locals alike.

Coastal road in great shape to handle festive season traffic


South Africa’s N2 freeway which connects Cape Town with the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast along the eastern seaboard is in great shape to handle higher traffic volumes during the coming festive season.

Mbulelo Peterson, regional manager for SANRAL’s Southern Region (Eastern Cape province), says road users will be able to travel the entire distance without encountering road works or having to wait for construction activities.

Roadworks continue in Port Elizabeth


The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) would like to advise motorists that there will be complete ramp closures on the John Tallant interchange tonight, Monday, 18 April from 7pm until Tuesday morning 5am.

There will also be a ramp closure on the Settlers interchange west bound off-ramp towards Summerstrand (M4), on three consecutive nights, Monday, 18 April, Tuesday 19 April and Wednesday 20 April. Over the three nights roadworks will start at 7pm and continue until 5am the following morning. The roadworks will go ahead, weather permitting.
