CSI 2018 INITIATIVE

Encourage And Empower

Education is this year's focus. The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber’s Corporate Social Investment Initiative regards education as a fundamental and crucial element in our lives. Our theme is to encourage children to attend school and to empower them by assisting with providing for them.

This year we strive to encourage and empower learners by donating towards Elsen Academy and The Kleinskool Initiative.

Elsen Academy:

Elsen Academy is a school for children with special needs. The learners at the school have learning disabilities. Elsen Academy seeks to teach and educate learners through experiential learning. This means that they delight in giving the children a realistic know-how of the working world. This can only be achieved when they have the necessary equipment required. The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber would like to assist them in acquiring the machinery needed. We ask our membership to please consider donating machinery to this worthy cause.

As the CSI 2018 team of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, we invite you to consider becoming one of the corporate sponsors for this year’s initiative. The sponsored equipment is to please be delivered directly to the Elsen Academy premises and an official handover will be done on Mandela Day (18 July 2018). As an incentive your company will be invited on the day and will benefit from full publicity.

The Kleinskool Initiative:

This organisation assists children in the Kleinskool area. Their main focus is on education, encouraging learners to complete their school education and providing them with school fees, uniforms and necessary stationery.

The team would like to raise funds by means of a hike and various activities to be held at the Lady's Slipper Hiking trail on 14 July 2018, in order to help out The Kleinskool Initiative.
