The AIDC-EC gives effect the automotive strategy of the Eastern Cape Province, which at the sector’s epicentre, accounts for 36% of the country’s automotive production and 50% of its automotive exports.
The AIDC-EC has two significant objectives. The first is to position the Eastern Cape Province for further automotive investment, and the second is to drive the attainment of South African Automotive Masterplan targets in the Eastern Cape. Our initiatives and services around the second objective are focussed on skills development, localisation, transformation, and competitiveness improvement.
Both objectives are underpinned by our extensive network of local, national, and international partners with whom we prioritise collaboration.
