Dear All,
SAMSA herewith invite port users across all subsectors to vote per industry using the attached Voting Form which lists all the Nominees received per for the Port of Port Elizabeth. We wish to thank you for your participation and patience as we get to a head with this process. Your continued participation and support is invaluable and will ensure that Port Users have meaningful representation at the this legislated platform.
The Voting process is the next step in the Nomination and Election process. Industry is herewith invited to vote for the Nominees listed below in the respective port user categories. Important to note:
- Nominees may not vote for themselves.
- The Nominees you are voting for, have must have demonstrated required expertise in one or more of the port user segments within the broad categories.
- Each category contains several nominees.
- Your vote will indicate the primary, secondary and alternate (where applicable) Representatives per port user Category.
- Elected Nominees are obligated to attend all PCC Quarterly and PCC Technical and Subcommittee Meetings.
- Nominee Objections if any will be noted.
- Port Users do not represent themselves, their Organizations and or any Association to which they may have an affiliation.
- Only vote per company.
The PCC and NPCC Induction process will follow to familiarise all elected members with the PCC and NPCC Processes. All the documentation and meeting protocols including the annual calendar will form part of the Induction process.
The Minister of Transport formally appoints newly elected members.
