Request for raw material from Madagascar
Last week, the Embassy met with a Malagasy company that manufactures cigarette, toilet paper, soap, robes for fishing and shipping as well as candles and floor polish.
They are looking for raw material to make the mentioned products, below is the list of specifications:
Cigarettes
- Filters (Normal + Menthol):
Specifications: 120 x 24.50mm; Mono Acetate ; Menthol loading 4.5
Purpose: For cigarette manufacturing
Quantity: 2 – 3 containers every 1.5 months
- Aluminum Foil Paper (Silver):
Specifications: Size: 114mm x 2000m; Id core: 76.2mm; Grammage: 50g
Purpose: Used as packing material for cigarettes
Quantity: 5 containers/year
- BOPP Film:
Specifications: Size: 116mm x 2700m; Id core: 76.5mm; Thickness: 22um
Purpose: Used as packing material for cigarettes

Spare Parts for Machines

They have previously sought these in China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and so forth. They have requested the embassy to introduce them to South African suppliers. We would appreciate if you can share the request with your members who may be able to provide the requested material.
