As part of its Board mandate, the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber SMME Task Team recently hosted the first in a series of workshops geared toward skills development, strategic advice, financing options and services for SMME’s, along with facilitating access to opportunities through industry engagements with larger businesses, as well as through the alignment of interventions with local, provincial, and national government.

The first workshop focused on SMME Investor Readiness and provided participants with a checklist of items required for investment readiness.

Below we have shared the checklist for ease of reference for those who would not attend the event.

SMME Investment Readiness Checklist

Certified copy of the business registration documents?

 

Proof of office address in the local community (not older than 3 months)?

 

Auditor letter confirming names and ID’s of all Directors?

 

Certified copies of Directors/Board member’s ID’s?

 

Certified copy of valid Tax Clearance Certificate?

 

Certified copy of business’ BBBEE Certificate?

 

Certified copy of latest audited financial statement / management accounts?

 

Organisational profile with photographs of the business?

 

Three month’s bank stamped financial statements?

 

Letter of good standing (Department of Labour) Compensation Commissioner?
