Entrepreneurship Desk Established We established an Entrepreneurship Desk which as of today has 240 businesses registered with it, of which 68% are black-owned and 55% are female-owned, and have a combined annual turnover of over R286 million between them, employing over 1000 employees. The Desk acts as a single contact where small business growth and sustainability interventions are housed. These include pro bono one-on-one advisory support; access to the market; entrepreneurial skills development; access to finance; and business-to-business linkages, among others. |
Connecting Our MSMEs with Funding Opportunities The Entrepreneurship Desk hosted 3 breakfasts dedicated to connecting our MSMEs with funding opportunities available in the market, while they got the opportunity to network with each other. |
15 Emerging Exporters Successfully Complete Exporters Development Programme in 2022/23 The successful completion of the Exporters Development Programme which supported 15 emerging exporters in 2022/23 while 17 have been inducted for the 2023/2024 period. In total, the programme has supported 65 beneficiaries. |
54 MSMEs Inducted into Enterprise Development Programme for 2023/24 The Enterprise Development Programme has inducted 54 MSMEs from the services sector for the 2023/24 period. These MSMEs are being equipped with financial management and controls; market penetration; and organisational development interventions. |
